The UKs Greatest Tennis Player Ever
Virginia Wade is Great Britain's greatest Tennis player ever.  She holds several titles and has set many unbeaten records.
Virginia Wade won the U.S. Championship in the first year of Open Tennis in 1968, and she captured the Australian Open in 1972.

Virginia was ranked as high as No. 2 in the world, and she was ranked in the Top 10 from 1967-1979. She currently is No. 4 on the all-time victory list with 839 match wins, and she captured 55 pro singles titles.

In 1982 she became the first and only woman ever elected to the prestigious Wimbledon Committee. Virginia Wade currently is the Director of the Lawn Tennis Association Council responsible for the professional game. She was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1989. She resides in New York City and London and commentates for the BBC and MSG Networks.
