Trent Dilfer is one of the few atheletes in the NFL that not only attributes his talent to God, but sees his experience in the NFL as a way to be a role model for those looking for God.
Even with all the attention I received from athletics, I was still restless. It wasn't until my junior year in college at an FCA camp that I really came to understand what it meant to be a Christian. It was then that I trusted Christ as my Savior.
Since then my focus has gradually changed from pleasing myself to pleasing God. God has also changed the way I view people. I used to look at people for how they could help me, but now my perspective is how I can help them and love them. Since trusting Christ, my view of football has also changed. I now see playing in the NFL as a chance for me to influence people for Him.
