Famous Basketball Personality and Broadcaster
Seven-year NBA veteran Tom Tolbert joined ABC Sports and ESPN for the launch of the networks' NBA coverage in 2002, serving as a studio analyst for ABC Sports and as a game analyst on ESPN's Friday night telecasts.
This past season, Tolbert worked for NBC Sports as an NBA game and studio analyst, quickly gaining recognition and acclaim for his lively and animated delivery. In addition to his NBA duties, Tolbert serves as a college basketball analyst for KRON-TV in San Francisco and co-hosts a popular Bay Area sports talk show on KNBR-AM.
Tolbert attended the University of Arizona and averaged 14.0 points and 6.0 rebounds during two years with the Wildcats. In 1988, Tolbert was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in the second round of the NBA Draft. During his seven-year career, Tolbert played for four different teams: Golden State Warriors (1989-92), Orlando Magic (1992-93), Los Angeles Clippers (1993-94) and Charlotte Hornets (1994-95).
