ESPN Anchor

Stuart Scott is currently the anchor of Sports Cneter and the host of several ESPN programs. His work as a sports broadcast journalist is well respected in every area of the field.

 

 

Scott graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts in speech communications and radio, television, and motion pictures. During college he worked as a sports reporter for the student radio station WXYC-FM.

Over the next six years, Scott worked his way through various broadcast positions. He was a news reporter and the weekend sports anchor for WPDE-TV in Florence, S.C., followed as a news reporter at WRAL-TV in Raleigh, N.C. From 1990-1993, he served as a sports reporter and anchor for WESH-TV in Orlando, FL. While there he earned first place honors from the Central Florida Press Club for a feature he did on the rodeo.

August 30, 1993 he joined ESPN2 a month before its debut and stared as a SportSmash anchor. In March of 1994 he began to co-host SportsNight on ESPN2 and since then has gone on to be a regular anchor on SportsCenter.
