Rick Barry
Former NBA Player

Rick Barry is one of the only basketball players to have won honors and games in college, ABA, and NBA basketball. Regardless of the venue, Barry's love of basketball has definately taken him to the top.

Barry is the only player ever to lead the NCAA, ABA, and NBA in scoring. He is among the all-time league leaders in many statistical categories. He led the Golden State Warriors to their only West Coast Championship in 1975. His election to the Hall of Fame was a given; his inclusion as one of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players, a formality.

Barry was a little bit Magic Johnson, a little bit Larry Bird, and a little bit of Dennis Rodman before any one of that threesome came on the scene. "The only player I'd compare myself to was Bird," Barry said. "I was quicker and faster than he was, but he was an outstanding passer and a great shooter. I was a great scorer and a good all-around player. I wasn’t a good defensive player. I had trouble with guys who were bigger and stronger. But I was good at team defense. And for a big guy, I could pass and see the floor as well as anyone."
