Mike Tirico
Emmy Nominated Sportscaster
Mike Tirico is one of sports television's most talented commentators. His work earned him a 2001 Emmy nomination as top host/play-by-play.
Beginning in 2002-03, Mike adds the role of Studio Host for ABC's NBA Broadcasts, which include the NBA Finals. He will also call NBA play-by-play for ESPN. In addition to his golf and NBA duties, Tirico is a play-by-play announcer for college football on ABC and ESPN.
Tirico is also a contributor to ESPN Sportscenter, radio, magazine and internet ventures.
Since joining ESPN in 1991, after four years at WTVH-TV in Syracuse, Tirico has covered many major sporting events, including the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, College Football National Championship games, NBA Finals, NFL Draft and Daytona 500.
Tirico received his bachelor of arts degree in political science and broadcast journalism from Syracuse University in 1988. Mike lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with his wife and two children.
