Lauren "Lolo" Scruggs is the author of the best-selling autobiography, 'Still Lolo: A Spinning Propeller, a Horrific Accident, and a Family's Journey of Hope.' She has recently begun work as an E! News Correspondent.
In December 2011, Lauren Scruggs, a 23-year-old fashion journalist, suffered a sudden injury that made headlines around the world. Upon exiting a small plane after a short flight to see Christmas lights, she was hit by the still-moving propeller blade. A frantic 911 call, several major surgeries, and thousands of prayers later: Lauren lived. But she lost her left hand and left eye. And she had to face some incredibly difficult challenges.
Inspired to share her message of hope and healing, Lauren is now speaking out. She reveals what really happened that night, what got her through the journey toward healing, and how she conquered all odds to persevere. It's a compelling and fiercely beautiful story of faith, determination, and staying true to who you are - no matter what.
Lauren was born in Redondo Beach, California and raised in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University with academic honors. Prior to launching LOLO Magazine, she worked in New York City for Gossip Girl and Michael Kors. She’s reported on Fashion Weeks in Paris, Montreal and New York, and has interviewed actors, celebrities, and fashion industry insiders.
