Nicklaus’ career achievements include 9 Greatest Golfer/Athlete awards, 100 total victories around the world, eight time Number 1 scoring average and eight time top money winner. With all of these career highlights, Nicklaus admits that he is most proud of his record in the major championships. More specifically, he mentions his 1986 Masters victory where he won at the age of 46, with his son Jack as his caddie, as his crowning professional achievement.
Nicklaus now resides in North Palm Beach, Florida where he continues to manifest his passion for golf with golf course design, development and licensing through his successful company Nicklaus Design. Nicklaus Design has built courses in Russia, Spain, China, South Korea, Brazil, Scotland and Ireland. Over 300 professional games have taken place on as many as 62 Nicklaus courses including 12 PGA Tour and Championship Tour events, as well as the Ryder Cup, PGA Championship and World Cups. Nicklaus received Golf World’s 1993 Golf Course Architect of the Year and was named Best Golf Course Architect for 2003 by the readers of Asian Golf Monthly.
