Fred Stolle is one of the tennis greats of all time, with election into the International Hall of Fame in 1985
With 18 Grand Slam championships, Fred Stolle ranks seventh on the all-time list of champions. A member of Australias Davis Cup teams from 1964 until 1967, he won 13 of the 14 matches while playing on four victorious teams. His tremendous talents earned him the ranking of number one in the world in 1966. Emblazoned with the nickname Fiery, he won the singles title at the French and U.S. Open. Twice a singles finalist at the Australian Open and a three-time Wimbledon singles finalist, Fred holds the record for the most post-war Wimbledon finals appearances than any other male player.
Stolles dynamic doubles skills are reflected in his 16 Grand Slam victories, including the U.S. Open mens doubles, two U.S. Open mixed doubles, two Wimbledon mens doubles, three Wimbledon mixed doubles, two French Open mens doubles plus three mens doubles and one mixed doubles a the Australian Open. A native of Hornsby, Australia, Freds career continues to be a smashing success. He is an international television commentator and analyst, occasionally covering matches for his son Sandon, who successfully competes on the pro tour. Fred Stolle is President and founder of Grand Slam Sports Marketing, operated by him and eleven of tennis historys greatest players. Fred Stolle is based in Aventura, Florida where he oversees the tennis program at Turnberry Isle Resort & Club, the home of Grand Slam Sports.
