Doug Flutie began his football career at Boston College, where a great play won him a position as starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. He now plays for the San Diego Chargers, where his stats for the last year have earned him a newfound respect in teh football community.
Off the field, Doug is a well-rounded individual. He contributes his time and energy to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. The foundation, named after his son who is affected by the disorder, focuses on raising awareness and support for autism. Flutie has hosted basketball and golf tournaments to raise funds, along with money brought in from the sale of "Flutie Flakes" breakfast cereal and candy bars. He also lends his talents on the drums to the Flutie Brothers and on occasion, has been invited on stage to play with the likes of Dave Matthews Band, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Lynyrd Skynrd.
