Bryant Gumbel is one of the most well-known and respected figures in broadcast journalism today. He is the former anchor of The Early Show, CBS’s morning television program. Previously, he worked for NBC for nearly 25 years, serving as anchor of The Today Show. His coverage of professional sports for the National Broadcasting Company, winning an Emmy for his 1976 Olympic coverage. He has interviewed super-power leaders and Super Bowl heroes and has covered foreign wars, elections, international summits, and presidential inaugurations.
In August of 2002 Gumbel married Hilary Quinlan, a former research analyst at Goldman Sachs, in a quiet ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida. He has two children, Bradley and Jillian, from a former marriage.
