Randy Snow has encountered tragedy and obstacles since the age of sixteen,
when an accident left him a paraplegic. Through determination and hard work he
became the first paralympian athlete ever inducted into the Olympic Hall of
Fame.
Randy Snow encountered personal tragedy at a young age. But from his
suffering arose a determination move forward with his life and to pursue
excellence. The tragedy occurred when he was only 16 years old. He was working
on a farm when a half-ton bale of hay crashed down on him, breaking his neck
and leaving him a paraplegic. While many others in his situation might have
curled up in a corner, Randy chose to accept his changed situation and to use
it simply as the starting point for what would be a new life. In that new life,
through personal determination and hard work, he became the first Paralympian
athlete ever inducted into the Olympic Hall of Fame. In his keynote speeches to
audiences of all types, Randy Snow offers the essential insight that no matter
what situation people find themselves in at any given moment, they are forever
capable of changing course and finding new ways to achieve success.
Randy Snow must be your next motivational speaker. He's excited audiences
across the country with his humor and determination to compete with change. His
electrifying programs leave audiences stimulated as he touches every individual
with honesty and energy.
When Randy was 16, he was working on a farm when a 1000-pound bale of hay
crashed down on him, leaving him a paraplegic. Narrowly escaping death, the
result was a broken back, paralysis and the end of walking forever.
But coming to the realization that it was more painful to stay the same than
it was to change, Randy began to accept his new life. The transition to
accepting one's situation and competing is the impetus behind his message. No
one better represents the idea of discovering options and finding new
opportunities after change. In his new mode he has traveled the globe winning
competitions, teaching and speaking.
"I have found that as I share my stories with the audience, I am not
only giving them laughter, but I am giving them hope as well." Randy
