David learned how to play poker in home games after moving to the United States. Chiu is a former restaurant owner has been a professional poker player for many years. Five years ago, at the Orleans Casino in Las Vegas, poker player David Chiu won the first Tournament of Champions. The victory earned him $214,542, a Lincoln Town Car and the distinction as one of the world's top poker players. Since then, Chiu has won three gold bracelets at the World Series of poker and two state championships. David feels concentration is his greatest gift. He pays attention to people's reactions, to the card they look at, or the way they put their chips in the pot. Sort of like Sherlock Holmes figured out murder mysteries, he uses any and all the information that can give him a clue about what his opponents have.He says a great deal of it is deductive reasoning and never denies that luck is involved and he admits he’s certainly not 100 percent right all the time because if he were, he’d be a billionaire by now.
