Charlie Ward
Pro Basketball Star
Charlie Ward was a force to be reckoned with in his college football years.  He proved to be just as magical as a professional basketball player for the Spurs.

He won every award you can possibly win in during the 1993 season when he was 264 of 380 for 3,032 yards and 27 touchdowns. He improved from throwing 17 interceptions in 1992 to 4 in 1993 and ran for 10 touchdowns in his career. He beat Nebraska in two Orange Bowls and whipped archrival Florida twice. He started his career as a punter when he averaged 37.1 yards per kick as a freshman.
Ward's career as a star really began against Georgia Tech in 1992. Down 21-7 in the 4th quarter, Bobby Bowden decided to open up the offense and the new fast break offense was unearthed. Ward brought them back to a 29-24 win. Against Nebraska in the 1993 Orange Bowl, he was named MVP going 15 of 30 for 187 yards and 2 TDs beating the Huskers 27-14.
